Can you combine the words "some" and "time" to make "sometime?"?

1 Answer

Answer :

It depends on the context; If you’re using it to describe the passage of time, then they need to be separate words. For example, “She has been in the basement for some time.” Or, if you want to talk about past events, you can use the contraction sometimes; “Sometimes I like to walk through the meadow, to get perspective”
