10.6.2 disabled OS X from running on Atom processors. So you could install up to 10.6.1 but after that you are stuck without doing some hacks.

In theory, the entire drive could’ve been selected and under Get Info, you could change folder permissions for all enclosed items to something different if you were logged in as an Admin.
