I would choose a notebook for your college needs, and depending on what you’re majoring in, you may find that you’ll need it a lot. In my mind, netbooks are more for those who are ‘on-the-go’ a lot. You need something that’s light, does the basic tasks ( web surfing, emailing, etc), and takes up little space, so you’d choose a netbook.
