Would a US citizen get in trouble if they travel to Cuba?

Answer :

The Cuban authorities normally do not stamp US passports for this very reason, they also didn’t stamp my UK passport when I went earlier this year as I may have trouble entering the US with that stamp there. But yes there would likely be repercussions for the US citizen on going home
