I was very involved in politics for a few years. Now, I have stopped following it completely. My former position was that if you are smart enough to understand what is truly going on, it is your inherent responsibility to do something about it. My current position is that nature has a way of righting itself, and that all the crap that is happening now must happen – like a flu virus must run its course – in order for humanity to evolve to the “next level of being”. No matter how hard I try, I am not going to “save the world”, rather it will save itself. I am a witness to a tiny fraction of the evolutionary process, and I should focus primarily on enjoying the opportunity. And it is in this way that I think we make our biggest contributions to the Earth – in doing what we truly love and excel at we push the bar slightly higher.
