answer:T-mobile most likely will not be teaming up with Verizon and any other cell companies in the near future. There were rumors going on of a Sprint/T-Mobile merge last year but those have died down. T-Mobile operates on GSM while Verizon and Sprint both operate on CDMA. Those are two completely different standards of cell service. Such a merge would not only be costly but also a huge step backwards for both companies since they have already invested so much time into these standards of cell service. As for sticking with T-Mobile, it all really depends on the service in your area and what kind of phone you want. T-mobile’s cell service is usually great in cities but they generally have less coverage than Verizon and AT&T nationwide. On the other hand, they are also a lot cheaper than any other major cell service providers in the country. Finally, if you want a smartphone, T-mobile’s selection is not the greatest. Yes, they do have Blackberries with 3G now, but their Android models are outdated. Their 3G coverage is also limited to only major cities right now. You would be better off with Verizon or AT&T. Basically, if you don’t need a Smartphone with 3G coverage outside major cities and/or are happy with the coverage in your area, you should stick with T-Mobile because they are still the cheapest option.
