You could try contacting corporate and politely say you are happy with the vehicle in general but the cosmetic paint issue makes you unlikely to buy another. Since it is a common complaint, you might check the Car Talk forums and see if anybody found any remedies. Toyota isn’t likely to do anything about your car but feedback might help them improve in the future. (Even my friend with a 2010 is seeing sun damage to her clearcoat, so they aren’t getting any better) If it really bothers you, I’m afraid a new paint job is coming out of your own pocket.
