answer:I had a lot of audio problems with 10.7.0. VLC, Quicktime, and iTunes would randomly lose sound. And when the sound came back it would be out of sync, I restart would fix it, but it was a pain in the ass. Luckily, upgrading to 10.7.2 cleared the problem up. So I would make sure software update says everything is current.
