answer:Animated avatars are not allowed on Twitter. There was a grandfather clause for those who had one prior to the rule change, but no new ones will be allowed. Even if you found a way to upload it, the avatar would be removed. P.S. The owners of this site work for Twitter, so Fluther probably isn’t the best place to look for advice on breaking Twitter rules.
