answer:If you highlight the labels at the top of each column, then click on the data tab, and the big filter button.. you’ll be able to sort out which ones are from New Jersey. (Assuming that this is a separate data column in your spreadsheet) After applying the above “autofilter” you can then click on the arrows next to each column header and filter it out so you only see “New Jersey” records for example… Once you have those filtered you can simply highlight>copy>and paste those into a new spreadsheet. Without actually seeing an example of your spreadsheet this is my best guess.
