answer:That is part of the reason I went with a third-party alternative; the Windows battery meter is unreliable in more ways that one. Personally, I use the free version of BatteryBar Pro. It’s more reliable, more accurate, and better looking. I don’t think the full version is worth the $8 since the basic version does what I need it to do, but it is one way to get a batter meter back on your taskbar… and a better one at that.
