It’s not the choice of genius or blank. The artist is someone who finds an alternative way to express emotion and intellect. An artist (painter, dancer, poet, sculptor, architect…the list goes on) does so as a means to process emotion in reaction to something. And the best, greatest artists do so in a way that it evokes emotion in others.
