I used to hitchhike occasionally in the 70’s. Hen there was a rash of serial killers like Ted Bundy and Richard Ramirez and even an immortal teenager lie me realized it was to risky. In Oregon ai still see a few hitchhikers a week but not nearly as many as I did growing up.
