I, too, was disappointed with “Boyhood.” Lots of good stuff in it for sure, but for me it just dragged, and wound up pretty much nowhere. Plus I wasn’t thrilled with watching the actors grow older and older and older. Ethan Hawke, for example, one of my favorite actors, once seemed perennially young to me. This movie proves he’s not.
