Those expressions do not mean that one feels at any moment like the other gender. When a woman says she feels like a woman, it is generally understood she feels loving, nurturing, feminine and sexual desirable. When a man says he feels like a man, it is generally understood to mean he feels strong, powerful, and sexually strong. When a trans person says “I feel like a—-, ” the person is expressing the feeling of being a gender.
