Whoa there.. Disk Utility will erase the entire disk. It doesn’t just delete certain files. And you can’t erase the start-up disk since it is the start-up disk. If you were able to erase it the computer would no longer be able to boot. If you want to delete some files just drag them to the trash in your dock.
