If you have adult children, and they ask to borrow a large sum of money, do you expect to get it back?

1 Answer

Answer :

Well, my daughter is not an adult yet (she’s 15), but I have a simple rule about money that I’ll probably apply to her too. I do not loan anyone money. If I can afford it, I will give it you to as a gift. No repayment needed. If I cannot, I’ll simply say I cannot. I’ve seen far too many examples of “loans” that just lead to all sorts of drama and hurt feelings.
