This branch called hematology also studies the diagnosis, treatment, etology, prognosis and prevention of very serious blood diseases. Hematologists are also often called oncologists due to their study in cancers of the blood.Some hematologists are dedicated and specialized to view bone marrow slides or blood films that will result in seeing what a hematological test result will show. Other hematologists will devote their career to caring for and treating their patients who suffer with a type of hematological disease.
