What types of laptops does our military use?

There are no specific brands the military uses (I'm a Marine Corps veteran), but they do have a specific look. Known as toughbooks, they are configured so that field operatives can use them in extreme conditions. They are modified to have extra outer protection to prevent dust and other harmful substances from damaging them.
