The main difference between AMD and Intel CPUs lie in the processing instructions. AMD CPUs do not have a fast clock speed but can perform many more calculations in a processing cycle than Intel CPUs with its 10 step execution process. Intel processors, on the other hand, have a 20 step execution process which allows for a much faster clock speed. However, Intel CPUs perform fewer calculations per processing cycle. Additionally, Intel CPUs have much larger L3 caches than AMD CPUs.
