Pharmacy tech school prepares students to assist licensed pharmacists, to answer patient questions and to provide administrative support within the requirements of state and federal regulations. The program is usually offered by a tech school or community college, and includes 20-40 hours of hands-on experience and usually requires an externship in a pharmacy setting. You will need to finish 4 years of undergraduate universities. Then you will need two to three more years of pharmacy training to become licensed.
