An employee relations officer is an integral part of anorganization. They are responsible for managing the personnelpolicies that affect all employees. They deal with issues such asworking conditions, performance reviews, rules and regulationsconcerning maternity/paternity leave, grievance leave, etc. Some ofthe duties of an employee relations manager include: writing newpolicies and update old policies, acting as a liaison between anemployee and manager, advising employees on procedures andnegotiating with various unions on issues such as compensation andworking conditions.
