Why does the Earth move move but the Sun does not move?

1 Answer

Answer :

Actually the entire Solar System moves - it orbits around theMilky Way.But with respect to the center of mass of the SolarSystem, the Sun has about 1000 times as much mass as the largestplanet (Jupiter). That means that if Jupiter moves a certainamount, in its orbit around the Sun, you can expect the Sun to moveabout 1000 times less.(Compared to Earth, the Sun has about 330,000 times as muchmass.)
