The time period he lived many of the things we consider problemswere just part of life. Columbus was a mean greedy man. When helanded in the Bahamas he cut off a Native American hand became hedidn’t bring him enough gold. He wrote in his diary that the NativeAmericans he met would make good slaves. On his second voyage hereturned with 17 ships filled will colonists and planned to set upcolonies. He took 1200 Native Americans as slaves and sent 500 backto Spain.
