Can I fully erase the flash drive?

Doesn't the flash drive need any files to work? I don't remember if it was empty when you bought it. Is it possible that if I completely erase it, it will stop working?

Answer :

Flash doesn't need any files to work - feel free to delete, reformat, delete any "partitions" (Disk Administrator). This does not affect the function.
