Does the galvanized railing still have to be painted or will it not rust on its own with galvanizing?

1 Answer

Answer :

Galvanized iron must be allowed to oxidize, otherwise the paint would not adhere to it at all. It depends on the strength of the zinc layer, but it is definitely better to paint with a suitable color. Surprisingly well, you can use wood varnish, Luxol, Lazurol ... It creates a thin film that does not peel off, but must be renewed from time to time :)
