Program Files

I have a brand new :-) PC (Lenovo) equipped with Win 8. Not that I can't handle it, but I don't understand one thing. A duplicate Program Files (x86) folder has been created in the system directory, so I have two there, the original Program Files and the other one I listed. New applications, I feel, are being installed in that duplicate Program Files (x86). So that something doesn't hit me in the end. I would like an answer to that, but not until *********, it won't let me sleep.

Don't worry and most importantly don't delete anything ... Your computer has 64-bit .. Operating System ... and so there is still Program Files (x86) which is a folder for programs .... which runs on 32-bit OS . to your "original" Program Files folder .. All Windows 64-bit versions have it, and for understandable reasons it doesn't have 32-bits ... it's hard to stuff a pack of cigarettes into a matchbox ... but on the contrary, it's fine ... ☢ ☢ ☣ ☠ ☣ ☠ ☣ ☠ ☢
