Avast or AVG?

I need to put my heads together with someone. I will outline the situation: I have a new computer with Win 8 and pre-installed McAfee LifeSafe and McAfee Security Scan, as supplied by Lenovo as part of its kits. Now, after about two months, I am experiencing total dissatisfaction with the mentioned antivirus products. Constant pop-ups and annoying calls to buy something. In the last set, I had a free version of Avast (one-year renewable registration) and I was satisfied. But there is another player - AVG and there will definitely be more. I see that Avast 2015 is available, but I have no experience with it. I have no one to deal with at home, so take care of me. And then one more question, whether I should uninstall McAfee first and then install a new antivirus, or install a new antivirus and then uninstall McAfee. That is the second question. I hope I didn't bother it too much, but I won't read it in a row, it's too long. Thank you for the advice. :)

I have a bad experience with avg - it requires a lot of computer ram. after trying different antiviruses, I chose avast. I acknowledge that the situation may have changed since 2008, but I have been with avast for six years. download only from the manufacturer's website. after downloading, uninstall the current antivirus (McAfee), restart your computer and start the installation when connected to the Internet. registration is required within 30 days, it is simple. in the settings you can also set those annoying pop-ups as needed. localization is also in the Czech language. opt for a free version (sufficient) or a paid version (no need) as needed.
