How does someone become a vegetarian?

I wouldn't be able to live if I couldn't eat meat or even a gyros I can't understand vegans at all.

I think there are those who don't like meat by default. Like one of my acquaintances, he doesn't like chocolate, he's disgusted with it. Someone is set that way, someone is different. But a few will be because they think they will lose weight if they are just vegetarians. But the body needs meat. I couldn't live without meat either. I don't live, but I have to :)
