The Maharajas of Belur Math worship the virgin mother with the knowledge of Goddess. Many people gather to worship that virgin. Wearing red benarsi , ornamental flower ornaments , with lotus in hand, the virgin then met Goddess Durga. Kumari Pujo was started at Belur Math in 1901 by Swami Vivekananda. After that the virgin is worshiped in Belur according to the custom. Many people say that puja is not successful if one does not worship the virgin in divinity with the worship of Umar in earthen form. The virgin is also worshiped at the birthplace of Sri Ramakrishna at Kamarpukur , Adyapith like Belur Math . These are famous pujas. Besides, in many Banedibari and also in Barwari Pujo, Kumari Pujo is in vogue. But how is the virgin-goddess chosen ? What does the scripture say ? In this regard, eminent Sanskrit scholar and head of West Bengal Vedic Academy Navakumar Bhattacharya said , ' All daughters are goddesses. However, there are several instructions in the scriptures regarding the selection of virgins for Pujo. Navakumar Bhattacharya has written about this in his book 'Jogapar of Durgapuja': According to Tantra, from the age of 1 to 18 years, a virgin is said to be worshiped. The virgin has also been named there due to her age. But according to the scriptures, there is a clear instruction that only a tenth year girl should be worshiped as a virgin. Navakumar Babu said in the book that there are instructions in the scriptures about the shape and nature of a virgin. He said , 'The shape of a virgin will be beautiful , beautiful and nature will be beautiful. Without Kumari Pujo, the full fruit of Durga Pujo is not obtained. Devi Bhagavata has again said that a one-year-old virgin is not worthy of worship. A girl between the ages of two and ten will be a virgin. ' শাস্ত The scriptures also have different names for virgin girls of different ages. And what is the result of worshiping him? নাম The name of the two year old daughter is Saraswati. The fruit of puja is sorrow , poverty and destruction of enemies and increase of wealth and longevity. নাম The name of the three year old daughter is Tridhamurti. Pujo fruit increases longevity , wealth and procreation. • The name of the four year old daughter is Kalika. The fruit of Pujo is knowledge , victory , kingdom gain. • The name of the five year old daughter is Subhaga. Fruit disease. • The name of the six year old daughter is Uma. The result is annihilation. • The name of the seven year old daughter is Malini. Wealth is gained in worship. • The name of the eight year old daughter is Kumbhika. Worship can enchant enemies. • The name of the nine year old daughter is Kalsandarbha. Worship destroys worldly poverty and enemies. • The name of the ten year old daughter is Aparajita. The purpose of worship is fulfilled. Navakumar Bhattacharya in his book says that the meditation that has to be done in Kumari Pujo says: 'Mother you are Trilokyasundari , but today you are present before me as Kalikas. You are knowledgeable , humorous , benevolent. ' And the prostration mantra of Kumari Pujo means: 'Mother , if you are pleased, you can give me good luck. You give me all kinds of accomplishments. You are adorned with gold , silver , and coral. You are Saraswati. I bow to you. '
