The existence of Durga Puja is not found in the original religious books of Dada including Vedas and Ramayana. As a result of the prestige of some rich Hindus, Durga Puja came to an end. Durga Puja is not Vedic. The goddess sukta of the Vedas is used to give the impression of Vedic worship but Durga has nothing to do with the Haimbati Umar mentioned in the goddess sukta of the Vedas. The Markandeya Purana, the composition of Balmiki's Ramayana, was not born at that time, nor was the story of the so-called goddess Durga. Durga worship does not exist in the original Ramayana of Balmiki. "Ramchitmanas" by the Mughal poet Tulsidas. There is no mention of Durga worship by Rama. Krittibas Ojha, one of the poets of medieval Bengali literature, deliberately inserted many stories prevalent in the contemporary society outside the original Ramayana into Bengali Ramayana while translating Sanskrit Ramayana. His translated Ramayana came to be known as Krittivasi Ramayana. There he mentions the worship of Durga by Rama on the advice of Brahma following the events of Kalika Purana. (Reference: Written by Ramayana Krittibas, with introduction by Dr. Sunitikumar Chattopadhyay , Sahitya Sangsad , Calcutta , 1958 edition) The primordial state of the power of the mythical Shaktachar is called Adyashakti in culture. Chandarupai Chand Shakti or Chandi of this odyssey. Thirteen years ago, the Markandeya Purana, whose short name Chandi mentions Durga , the story of Suratha Raja , also does not mention Rama, nor does it mention the story of Durga worshiped by Rama. Tulsi Das, the poet of the Mughal period, in 'Ramchitmanastha. There is also no mention of Durga Puja by Rama. So how did Durga Puja become popular ? In ancient Bengal , Durga Puja was not practiced exactly as we see it today in Mandapa - Mandapa - this is the opinion of the Pandits. [Dr. R. M Debnath ; Hindu from Indus ; Page , 72] So how did it start ? There was a king named Kangs Narayan Roy in Taherpur of Rajshahi district of North Bengal in Barind land at the beginning of Pathan period . 'Taherpur' was named after Taher Khan, the Jagirdar of the rulers of the Gaur kingdom. Its former name was Saprul. After defeating Taher Khan, Kangs Narayan captured Taherpur and continued to loot and seize unimaginable wealth. Then he decided to perform Ashwamedha Yajna to show his power and glory to all. He called the scholars of his time and said , ' I want to do Rajsuya or Ashwamedha Yajna. Let people know what kind of wealth I have , and I will spread it out with both hands. ' On hearing this, the scholars said , ' In this Kali Yuga , there is no rajsuya or ashvamedha yajna , so the Durga Puja or Durgotsab mentioned in the Markandeya Purana can be spent a lot , one can show off one's splendor , one can show one's wealth. You do this fort festival according to Markandeya Purana. ' Then Raja Kangs Narayan Roy performed the first Durga Puja by spending the then seven lakh gold coins (about six hundred crore rupees at the current market price). On seeing him, Raja Jagatballav of Ektakia (Ektakia probably in Rangpur district) spent eight and a half lakh gold coins and performed Durga Puja with more pomp. Seeing them, other zamindars thought , ' We are less , we can also play the game of money.' They also started Durga Puja with pomp. Durga Puja started in every Hindu zamindar's house. At that time twelve friends of Guptipara (real name of the place Guptavrindavan) of Balagarh police station of Hooghly district thought that we could not do it alone , but we could organize puja with twelve people. In Urdu, a friend is called Yaar , so the Durga Puja performed in twelve years is called Baro Yari Puja or Baroari Puja. And since in this baroari puja the oppressed people do not have the right to pay homage , so in order to have the right of everyone, baroari puja has evolved in modern times and in their language it is universal puja. The history of Durga Puja is not too long ago. After the Battle of Plassey, the traitor Navakrishna wanted to receive Clive. But at that time there was no big church in Calcutta. So Navakrishna came up with a plan. He wanted to have a four-day party at home , which was known to Sekal as the company's pujo. Which still survives as the worship of Shobhabazar Rajbari. Over time, this reception turned into an autumn Durga Puja. That is why the patriots used to call this pujo as 'pujo of dishonesty' Bankimchandra also knew that Durga was created during the time of **** Clive. He also knew that it was the work of the English. "Bankimchandra wrote sarcastically that later the mantra of Durga Puja would also be recited in English." [Reference: This is another history - Golam Ahmad Mortaza , Biswabangiya Prakashan , Calcutta , pp. 32-34] So Durga Puja of the old rich families of Calcutta city is still known as "Banedi Bari Puja". On the other hand, at the regional level, the Durga Puja which is jointly organized by the residents of a region is known as Baroari Puja or Sarvajanin Puja. (Mentioned above) However, the reason for its widespread popularity in modern times is that public worship began during the anti-British movement in India. Nationalist leaders like Ugrahindu leader Subhash Chandra Bose were associated with various universal worship. One of the reasons was that Hindus did not unite with Pakistan on the pretext of defending nationalism. From the nineteenth century onwards the worship of Calcutta gradually spread to Bangladesh and the absentee landlords and rich people residing in Calcutta wanted to start a part of the merry-go-round in Calcutta in their respective parts of Bangladesh. Apart from this, middle class , wealthy professionals who used to live mainly in Calcutta or Dhaka also used to come to the village for puja holidays. The main purpose of all was the same , Aishwarya (dominance) and to show power to the subjects. Apart from the caste Hindus, the so-called lower caste Hindus who were wealthy also tried to increase their 'respect' on the occasion of Durga Puja. They tried to imitate the caste Hindus , which the caste Hindus especially the Brahmins did not like at all. Even idol worship established in lower caste houses was forbidden. Then in the nineteenth century, with the emergence of neo-liberals centered around the city of Calcutta , they spread obscenity in the name of Durga Puja. They make obscene dance songs , drinking and prostitution an essential part of their Durga Puja. Durga Puja was first celebrated in Calcutta. Durga Puja was used by the upper and middle classes not only for festivals but also for the entertainment and communication of **** English. Lots of details are spread in various contemporary magazines , designs , novels. Here is a small quote from a pamphlet : This is a special time in Bengal for all the years. In the past, Hindu zamindars used to provide free obscenities in Durga Puja to attract the British. And no man-made festival can ever be a religion. Where there is the smell of barbanita , where the idol is made from the soil of Ganikabari, where is the religion !!!
