Namaskar or Namastuteba : Namaste in short is a greeting word used by the followers of traditional religions from the Vedic age. It is also called anjali mudra or prostration as the word 'namaskar' is usually pronounced with folded hands. The word 'Namaskar' comes from the original Sanskrit word 'Namah' which literally means to bow down respectfully. Lately, as part of various anti-traditional propaganda, a class of insidious mahals have been propagating that since the word namaskar is associated with degradation, the general public should not be greeted. Let's see what the Vedic scriptures say about this! "Yo debo agnau yo apsu yo biswang bhubanabibesh ya osadhishu yo banaspati tasmai devaya namo namah. " How is he ? He will give, that is, the manifestation of Paramatma. Where is he ? He is in the fire , in the water , in the weeds , in the ashwathadi tree , he has penetrated into this universe inwardly. ” Therefore, when one is greeted, the prostration is offered to the Paramatma, which is basically the innermost of all living beings , and not to any human body. So , hello everyone. The two-handed pair is mainly used to express humility by giving up ego. There is some variation in the taxation of cultures, such as the devotees folding their hands over their heads to show the highest respect to the deities, and the folding of the hands along the chest to greet a person at the same time indicates prostration and longevity.
