Cut the foam according to your door’s dimensions. Once done, use a knife to insert the polyurethane sheet along the panels. Secure the connection by covering the insulation’s outside edges with electrical tape.
Polystyrene Foam
Polystyrene insulating foam works like polyurethane foam in absorbing temperature and keeping foreign elements away from your property. It happens to be a good alternative to polyurethane. To install, you must, first, purchase a sheet of polystyrene foam from a home appliance center. Cut the sheet according to your door’s dimensions. Once done, stick it to the door panels using tape or finishing nails.
Weather Strip
The weather strip specializes in sealing your property from atmospheric elements, such as heat waves or cold drafts. It is also easier to install than polystyrene and polyurethane sheets. Purchase one, which is as large or larger than your garage door, from the department store. Make the necessary adjustments to the strip, so it covers the panels completely. Once done, pull the sheet covering the adhesive side of the strip. Stick the weather strip to the panels. If you want to secure the connection even further, stick a second layer of the strip then add tape or finishing nails.

Some home appliance centers offer insulation kits which function just as well as any insulation material sold on the market. It provides total protection and is easy to install. Just affix the insulation material provided by the kit onto the door using tape and you’re job is done.
