Ram = Random Access Memory. Rom = Read Only Memory. ROM contains data permanently. RAM contains data temporarily. Random access memory, or RAM for short , is a type of computer that stores data. Data can be "accessed" in any order from RAM , which is why it is called random access memory. ROM is a permanent memory of a computer whose data is not deleted when the computer is turned off or the power goes out.
