We enjoy the benefits provided locally by the state and in return perform various duties. In this sense, we are local citizens. The civic life of the individual begins locally. While living in the local area, some organizations develop relationships with the citizens. Citizens receive some services from these institutions and in return for these services they fulfill some responsibilities and duties. For example , from Union Parishad we receive various services including citizenship certificate and birth certificate. In return we pay different types of taxes.
