The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade making vows. Hadith: Abdullah bin Umar. Narrated from , he said: 'The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade us to make a vow one day. And he said: Manat cannot return anything. However, the wealth of the stingy person is taken out through vows. (Sahih Muslim , Hadith No. 4325) Ibn Umar. Narrated from , the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Manat does not do anything before or after . Rather, it only brings out the miser. (Sahih Muslim , Hadith No. 4326 , Sahih Sunan Nasai) Ibn Umar. Narrated from , ' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade swearing. And says: Manat does not bring any welfare. It just drops the goods from the stingy person. (Sahih Muslim , Hadith No. 4326 , Ahmad) Abu Hurairah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'You will not swear. Because vows cannot return anything to destiny. It just drains resources from the stingy. (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim , Hadith No. 4329 , Sahih Sunan Tirmidhi , Sahih Sunan Nasai) Sahib Abu Hurairah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'The vow which Allah Almighty has not ordained for the children of Adam does not approach him . Rather, it brings vows that are in destiny. Through this the wealth of the stingy person is extracted which he did not want to spend. (Sahih Muslim , Hadith No. 4331)
