Hence, this area is more prone to pain and problems than any other bones in the body.

A spondylosis is a situation, wherein one vertebra comes over the other. This misplacement of the vertebrae causes contraction of the canal. Consequently, the nerves that are connected to the spine are pressed. This leads to Lumbar Spondylosis.

Causes of Lumbar Spondylosis :

One of the most common causes of Lumbar Spondylosis is slipping of one vertebra over the other. This slippage of vertebra is known as spndylolisthesis. When the connecting nerve gets pressurized, Lumbar Spondylosis happens. If this situation is not treated for a long time, it may result in impingement of the spine, which is likely to attract other problems like neurological diseases, poor bladder, bad condition of gait, and so on.

One can identify this medical condition in the body if there is enormous pain in the lower back area of the body. Usually back pain can arise due to improper seating, prolonged sleeping, heavy exercising and so on. However, the pain caused due to these activities would last for a few hours or for a few days at the most. However, in case of Lumbar Spondylosis, the pain is persistent. Sometimes, the lower back area becomes numb. Most people with this problem have reported that their lower back becomes stiff in the morning.

Treatment of Lumbar Spondylosis :

Treatment may vary from case to case, depending on the region of misplacement of the vertebra and the real cause. The condition is first diagnosed by x-rays or by simple physical tests. In order to reduce the pain caused due to this medical condition, a few medications are prescribed by the doctor. However, one of the best things that can be done to treat this problem is stretching exercising and other physical therapies. It increases the flexibility of the spine and improves the strength.
