Parents' traits are transmitted to their offspring through genes located on human chromosomes. But not all the traits of the parents are manifested in the offspring , some traits remain dormant in them. For this reason, children are not exactly like parents. The traits that are revealed are called manifest traits and those that are not revealed are called latent traits.
