Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) is the process of encrypting signal or tracked data through a defined "tunnel". It is often applied to data on encrypted credit cards from merchant point-of-sale (POS) entries at the final credit card processing point operated by third parties. P2PE's policy can protect sensitive information in a variety of ways. In general , P2PE actually needs to be sustainable for data protection. Many systems use methods such as public key encryption and hashing to expose sensitive data to hackers and thieves.
