The term can have many meanings , e.g. Declares the existence of a type of "human nature" (in which case anti-humanism is noticeable) Based on this latest meaning, secular humanism can be called a way of life. Humanism in the modern sense, therefore, refers to the denial of miracles and divine authority. This meaning of the word can be contrasted with the meaning of the word "humanism" used in traditional religious circles. Humanism is born out of the anti -revelation theism or monotheism of the knowledge movement , anti- priesthood , various secular movements of the nineteenth century (e.g. , history) and the spread of science. Humanism can also point to a humanist literary culture .
