in angiosperms, some flowers (like garden peas) self-fertilizeor underdo self-fertilization or "selfing" because it ensures thata seed will develop. The only thing is, selfing means no geneticvariablity is possible... and life is boring that way.... haha!its not that^its called self polinating`
