Both eastern and western coastal plains are favourable regions for agricultural purposes. They enjoy equable temperature condition throughout the year and as such they are suitable regions for human habitation. These plains have great facilities of good ports and harbours, also contribute greatly to the development of trade and commerce both internal and external in India.
