I have never tried Roundupbut on Virginnia Creeper if you use it make sure you are spraying on vines that are growing well and have plenty of leaves on theem- not recently cut down. An alternative is to use Weed B Gone which containes the chemical 2-4,D.  Be sure to red insructions carefully before using any pesticide.
