What do you ammend the soil with to turn hydrangeas bloom blue

1 Answer

Answer :

http://www.usna.usda.gov/Gardens/faqs/hydrangeafaq2.html it all depends on your ph in your soil.some of the cultivars wont change color no matter what you do to the soil.if you add lime it will raise the ph to make aluminum more available to the plant to make it blue.to lower ph (pinker flowers)is harder you have to add sulphur to lower ph which takes longer .
