should my potted hibiscus plant be planted in the garden or remain potted? i live in michigan

1 Answer

Answer :

Only replant them if they appear to be dying, if you do replant them, the shock will kill them.  But, that said, you can cerrtaintly remove the bottem of the pot and set the entire plant in the ground, pot and all.  Just make sure that they will get plenty of sunlight.  And after 4 - 5 months slit the sides of the pot and remove one side of the remaining pot, this way the plants are replanted and there is no plant shock. -Birdy
