try SKIN SO SOFT by Avon.............they repel mosquitoes  are they japanese beetles as they have traps for them.  put those traps down wind from your garden not in the garden.  They lay eggs in your ground in late summer, so lime that ground when all the plants are out..............and turn it...the birds will pick those eggs up after it rains the lime away.........eggs have to be under the ground to survive when you turn the soil that wrecks their life cycle.  Wear long clothes with rubber bands on the ends to keep them out...
