On a day when it is not windy........and after the sun goes down................mix 1 teasp of liquid handwashing soap into 1 qt of water and spray it on................if it is a big tree you might need a professional style sprayer to reach the top.  Next day use heavy duty sticky wide grey tape.....you might need someone to help you.  Start with the sticky side out and go around the trunk where it is comfortable for you to reach....do several bands of this and the sticky side will trap them.  I use lime around all our fruit trees, bugs do not like lime.....if you decide to do this...do it on a day when it it not windy. use gloves, goggles and face mask.  this also sweetens the ground.
