i use neem oil, all natural found at lowes, and garden centers. the white moths are the culprit, they lay eggs in the cabbage.  i follow directions on package ( 2 table sppons per 1 gallon of water. i put it in a garden sprayer, and spray all of my plants with it. it will not harm, humans, pets, or beneficial bugs, but not good for the honey bee, so i spray the ground, around my flowers, and not the flower it self. do this every 7 days, until harvest, it really works great and harmless, god bless :D
