Answer :

Blossom end rot caused by a lack of calcium. Make sure before you plant  that your  PH is about 6.5. Add some lime anyway and a little epsom salts. ( magnesirm sulfate) which will help the plant absorb calcium. Mulch the plant good when planting and water enough to keep the ground damp but not wet.
