Depends on how cold your garage gets at the coldest point in the winter.  Store it whereever it stays around 40 degrees.................If you do get a break in the weather and plant them they will come up in the spring.................if they are spring flowers planted in spring...then won't bloom until next spring. another idea for you is to plant them in containers and keep them in soil....let them bloom and then plant them..............some people do this in a cool window or cool basement that gets some sun.  This is what the greenhouses do.  An then they charge you a lot of money for them.
